SaaS MVP development

SaaS MVP development: a lean first release in about four weeks

A focused first version of your product with the core feature set, sign-in and Stripe billing, built to be tested with real customers and extended afterwards.

  • Fixed-price lean sprint
  • Core features only
  • Built to extend later

What a SaaS MVP is for

An MVP is the smallest version of your product that a real customer can use and pay for. Its job is to answer one question quickly: does anyone want this enough to sign up? Building less first costs less, and it shows you what to build next based on what people actually do.

A good MVP is narrow on features but sound underneath. Sign-in, data storage and billing are built properly, so you can extend the product instead of starting over.

What the lean MVP sprint includes

  • A scoping conversation and a short written feature list, so everyone agrees what is in and what is out.
  • Figma wireframes and a clickable prototype you can show to potential customers.
  • The core feature set, built and tested, without bloated secondary features.
  • Authentication and a basic account area.
  • Stripe billing with a customer portal configured.
  • Automated emails through Resend or SendGrid, such as welcome and receipt messages.
  • Deployment to production and a short handover.

The code and the accounts it runs on belong to you.

What we leave out on purpose

Most MVPs run late because the feature list keeps growing. We push back on anything that is not needed to test your main idea: advanced reporting, many integrations, complex permission schemes, white-labeling and heavy admin tooling usually wait for a second phase.

When you do need them, the next step is a larger build, described under custom SaaS development. If you already know your product needs separate customer workspaces from day one, we will plan for that early, as explained on the multi-tenant architecture page.

The lean MVP sprint typically costs $7,500 to $12,500 at a fixed price and takes about four weeks once the scope is agreed. That range assumes a focused feature set and timely feedback from you. More features, more integrations or slow approvals change both the price and the date.

A written quote follows the scoping conversation, and we do not start before you have approved it. The pricing page lists every engagement type.

Honest limits of an MVP

A launched MVP does not prove your market, and we cannot promise signups, revenue or funding. Four weeks is a typical timeline for a narrow scope, not a commitment for every idea. If your concept needs heavy regulation, large integrations or complex data from the start, we will tell you that it does not fit this sprint.

  • SaaS only
  • Multi-tenant design
  • Stripe billing
  • Client owns the code

Questions about saas dev agency in United States

Can a real SaaS product be built in about four weeks?

A narrow one can. The timeline works when the core feature set is small, the scope is written down and you answer questions quickly. It does not work for products that need many integrations or heavy compliance work. We tell you during scoping which case you are in.

What do I need to prepare before we start?

A short description of the product, who it is for, and the three or four things a customer must be able to do. Rough sketches, competitor examples and any existing brand assets help. If you only have an idea, we can help shape the feature list during scoping.

What happens after the MVP is launched?

You can run it yourself, hire your own developers, or continue with us. Many founders move to a larger build once they learn from real users. Ongoing work can be scoped as a milestone project or as a monthly engineer on retainer, described on our pricing page.

Will the MVP code be reusable or thrown away?

We build it so it can be extended. Authentication, billing and data design are done properly, and the interface can grow. Some parts may be rewritten later as you learn what customers need, which is normal, but you should not need to start from zero.

Do you design the product as well as build it?

Yes. The sprint includes wireframes and a clickable prototype. If you want a fuller visual design system, polished onboarding flows and a consistent component library for later growth, that work is covered under SaaS UI and UX design and scoped separately.
